You have a remarkable follow up on thoughts and sarcasm. Aristocracy however an ideal would bring about bureaucracy and we need more than wise people leading the country. The wisdom must be coupled with other qualities which I feel the aristocrats do not posses. Let the aristocrats hire out leader..or vice versa ....

@Nick - Religion is loosely defined as "system of beliefs" and typically around a supernatural being. These beliefs are highly dependent on the people who profess the religions. That is why there are many many many religions of the world, all with different beliefs and practices. These beliefs of people are what may be discriminatory to classes of people... women beig one of them.

God, on the other hand is not defined by religion. God is God! I focus on the God of the Christians because he is the one you mainly refer to on your post, and He is the one i serve. He is first, not the other way round, not a creation of religion. He created man. If you read scripture, you will see that with the same stroke he created both male and female, both in his image and likeness and none superior to the other (1 Genesis 1:26-28). Then later one is when the elaboration of Adam and Eve's creation takes place and the fall from grace.

A question to ask yourself is if the sanctity of life as prescribed by God, or religions does indeed curtail womens liberties and is discriminatory to women, then why are women typically the majority in religious practices in countries such as America?

@Jizafrik " Religion may discriminate but God does not discriminate", how is that even possible. The very concept of gods come from the teachings of religions. Without religion there wouldn't be knowledge of such.
If god actually created the universe as is elaborated in the bible then man must have been created assexual at first . Otherwise why would man need to be defined as male with male organs and hormones without the need for such. Loopholes like these clearly show that the writings of the bible were not inspired by an all-knowing god

You forgot Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus"; Religion may discriminate but God does not discriminate.

In the same breath, who shall fight for the unborn child? Whether the child is male of female?

You seem detached from God, and hence unable to comprehend that life is sacred in itself. God is not a man that he should lie. The Woman was not created as an afterthought, but with a masterplan on hand. If indeed she was an afterthought, then the first man should have been created assexual. Yet he was already woman compatible from the beginning. God has used countless Women both in scripture and in the current times for His work.

As for constitutional matters, no church has ever stood against termination of pregnancy when the pregnancy is a life risk to the mother. However, the church is oppossed to what I call cosmetic abortions, i.e. no life risk, but the child is unwanted. Do Women have a right to decided whether to carry a child to term when no life risk is at hand? The debate will never end... until judgement day
